Almost nobody pays for a wedding in one go, and we have never expected it. What we have never liked is the way the industry handles that — a rigid schedule of instalments, fixed amounts on fixed dates, treated as though a wedding were a phone contract. Life does not arrive in equal monthly instalments, and a wedding does not have to be paid for as if it did.
How paying for your wedding works
A deposit secures the date
Your venue and your date are held from that moment. We tell you the figure in your proposal, before you commit to anything — it is not a number you discover later.
Then pay at your own pace
Whatever amounts suit you, whenever they suit you. A set amount each month if that is easier to budget, a lump sum after a bonus, something extra one month and nothing the next. We do not mind, and nothing is automated out of your account without you saying so.
Settled before the wedding
The one fixed point. The balance needs to be clear before the day, and we confirm the final date for your wedding in writing at the start so it never arrives as a surprise.
There is no instalment plan to fall behind on
This is the part worth saying plainly, because it is unusual. We do not set a schedule of fixed payments, so there is nothing to miss, nothing to default on and no month where a particular figure has to leave your account. You pay towards your wedding when you are able to. The only firm date is the one by which the balance has to be clear, and you will have that in writing from the start.
It also means the two questions couples dread asking — “what if we can only manage a bit this month?” and “can we pay a chunk off early?” — both have the same answer. Yes.
What that looks like in practice
Our lowest-priced wedding package is currently £3,735. If you chose to pay it off evenly — and you do not have to — the shape of it is this:
about £311
a month, booking 12 months ahead
Before your deposit is taken off the total, so the real figure would be a little lower.
about £208
a month, booking 18 months ahead
Before your deposit is taken off the total, so the real figure would be a little lower.
An illustration, not an offer. It is our real lowest package price divided by the months, to show you the scale of the thing. Your own figure depends on your venue, your guest numbers and how far ahead you book — and you are never committed to paying in equal amounts. See what a wedding abroad costs for the full range.
Book early — it is the real affordability lever
Booking eighteen months ahead rather than eight does not change the price of your wedding. What it changes is how many months you have to pay for it across, and that is usually the difference between a wedding that feels comfortable and one that feels tight. It also gets you the venue and the date you actually wanted, because the good Saturdays in June and September go first.

- Can you pay monthly for a wedding abroad?
- Yes. A deposit secures your date and your venue, and from there you pay towards the balance at whatever pace suits you until it is settled before the wedding. Many couples choose a steady amount each month because it is the easiest thing to budget around, but it is a choice rather than a requirement.
- Is there a fixed payment plan or instalment schedule?
- No, and this is where we differ from most planners. There is no schedule of fixed instalments, no direct debit that has to be a particular amount, and no penalty for paying unevenly. The only firm date is the one by which the balance has to be clear, and we agree that with you in writing at the start.
- How much is the deposit for a wedding abroad?
- It depends on the venue and the total, so we put the figure in your proposal rather than quoting one here that would be wrong for most couples. It is a small proportion of the overall cost — enough to hold the date with the venue, not enough to be the hard part of planning a wedding.
- What if we want to pay it all at once?
- That is entirely fine. Some couples pay the balance in one go once savings or a gift lands, and some clear it a year early. Paying in stages is an option we offer, not a structure you have to use.
- Does paying over a longer period affect our booking?
- No. Your date and your venue are held from the deposit onwards, and how you pay the balance afterwards does not change what you have booked or what you receive on the day.
- Does booking earlier make a wedding abroad more affordable?
- In practice, yes — and it is the single most useful thing couples can know. Booking eighteen months out rather than eight does not change the price, but it roughly doubles the number of months you have to spread it across. The couples who find a wedding abroad most comfortable financially are almost always the ones who booked furthest ahead.

Tell us your date and rough guest numbers. Your proposal comes back with the total, the deposit that secures it, and the date the balance needs to be clear — all three, in writing, before you commit to anything.
