A wedding abroad is not a smaller version of a wedding at home — it is a different thing, with a different cost shape, its own paperwork and a guest list that has to buy flights. This page is the short, honest version of all of it: what we actually charge, what the law actually requires, how many people genuinely fit, and which country suits which kind of day. Everything here is drawn from the venues and packages we sell, not from a brochure.

What does a wedding abroad cost?
Our own packages run from £3,735 to £13,459. The page shows the full spread by country, what is inside a price and what sits outside it.
Read moreIs it legal, and what paperwork?
Whether it counts at home, the documents every country asks for, notice periods, and the symbolic-versus-legal distinction nobody explains.
Read moreHow many guests can we bring?
27 of our packages suit fifty guests and 3 are built for just the two of you. The page lists what genuinely fits each size.
Read moreWhich country should we choose?
Cyprus for the simplest paperwork, Greece for the islands and the widest spread of prices, Italy and Spain for the setting, Malta for a short flight. Compared, not ranked.

How a wedding abroad comes together
Pick the country, then the venue
Most couples arrive with a feeling rather than a place. We start from your guest count, your budget and the month you want, and narrow from there — it is a far shorter route than scrolling venues.
Get a costed proposal, not a brochure
One document with the venue, the ceremony, the catering and the coordination priced for your actual numbers, and the things we do not control named separately.
Hold the date with a deposit
Venues abroad book twelve to eighteen months out for peak dates. A deposit holds the venue and the date; the balance is spread over the months that follow.
We run the day on the ground
Your coordinator is in the country, deals with the venue and the municipality in their language, and is there on the morning itself. That is the part a UK-only planner cannot do.
Every package and price
All of them, filterable, with the price on the card.
Just the two of you
An elopement abroad — identical paperwork, no guest list.
LGBTQ+ weddings abroad
Where same-sex marriage is legal, and where it is not.
Private villa weddings
A house for the weekend rather than a hotel function room.
Paying for it
A deposit secures the date, then pay at your own pace — no fixed instalments.

Common questions about marrying abroad
- How does getting married abroad actually work?
- You choose a country and a venue, we price it for your guest numbers, and a deposit holds the date. Your paperwork is prepared in the months before you travel and lodged with the local authority that will conduct the ceremony. You arrive a few days early, hand over the originals, and marry on the day. A planner in the country handles the authority, the venue and the suppliers throughout.
- Is a wedding abroad legally recognised in the UK?
- Yes, provided the marriage was validly contracted under the law of the country where it took place, both of you had the legal capacity to marry, and it does not conflict with UK law on age or prohibited degrees. A civil ceremony conducted by the local authority in any of the countries we work in satisfies that test. You do not need to register it again when you get home.
- Is it cheaper to get married abroad than in the UK?
- For most couples, yes — largely because a wedding abroad tends to be a smaller wedding, and because venue and catering costs around the Mediterranean sit below comparable UK venues. The honest caveat is that flights and accommodation are a real cost for you and your guests even though they are not on your invoice.
- How far ahead should we book a wedding abroad?
- Twelve to eighteen months for a Saturday in June, July, August or September. Shoulder months and weekdays open up far closer in, and we do plan weddings inside a year. The constraint is almost always the venue, not the paperwork.
- When is the best time of year to marry in the Mediterranean?
- May, June, September and early October. You get the heat without the peak of it, prices sit below the July and August premium, and photographs are kinder in the softer light. July and August are hotter and busier, which some couples want and others find uncomfortable for older guests.
- Can you pay monthly for a wedding abroad?
- Yes, and there is no fixed instalment plan. A deposit secures your date and your venue, and from there you pay towards the balance at whatever pace suits you, provided it is clear before the wedding — a date we confirm with you in writing at the start. Booking early helps twice over: you get the venue you want, and you get more months to spread the cost across.
- Can we get married abroad just the two of us?
- Yes. Some of our packages are built for two people, and an elopement is a straightforward thing to arrange — the legal ceremony is identical, it is only the guest list that changes.
