Our home and our heart. More than 320 days of sunshine, effortless legal ceremonies for overseas couples, and the warmest welcome in the Mediterranean — Cyprus delivers a truly premium wedding for remarkable value.
Is it legal, and does it count at home?
Yes on both counts — and no, you do not need to register it in the UK. Who marries you, which municipality handles it, and the paperwork we do for you.
Legal requirementsWhat does it actually cost?
Our Cyprus packages run £9,500 to £10,900. More usefully: what is included, what is not, and the costs couples only discover later.

Where in Cyprus to marry
Cyprus is small — roughly four and a half hours from the UK, and under two hours end to end once you land — but the four corners of it feel genuinely different. This is how we steer couples.
Paphos & the west
Where most of our couples marry. Clifftops, sunset-facing terraces and the quietest stretch of coast, with an airport twenty minutes away. If you want the photographs everyone pictures when they think of a Cyprus wedding, this is where they are taken.
Limassol
The most cosmopolitan choice — smart hotels, a long seafront and the best of the island’s restaurant scene for the night before and the day after. Suits couples bringing guests who want a proper city break wrapped around the wedding.
Larnaca
Easy to reach, easy on the budget, and closer to the vineyards and mountain villages inland. A good base for a wedding that mixes a beach ceremony with something rustic for the reception.
Ayia Napa & Protaras
The east coast has the clearest water on the island and the beaches to match. Better than its reputation suggests — the resort strip is easy to avoid, and the coves around Protaras are as pretty as anywhere in the Mediterranean.
A few of our Cyprus venues
See all 5 →The best time of year
- April & May
- Green hillsides, wildflowers, and warmth without heat. Our own favourite months, and usually the best value of the season.
- June
- Long, dry and reliably beautiful. Books up first, so this is the one to secure early.
- July & August
- Hot. Genuinely hot. Wonderful if your guests want a beach holiday attached, but plan an evening ceremony and shade for everyone.
- September & early October
- The sea is at its warmest and the light is at its best. If you can only pick one month on this page, pick September.
- November to March
- Quiet, mild and inexpensive. Better suited to small weddings and elopements than to a large outdoor reception.
Cyprus wedding questions
- Is a wedding in Cyprus legally recognised in the UK?
- Yes. A marriage is recognised in the UK provided it was validly contracted under the law of the country where it took place, both of you had the legal capacity to marry, and it does not conflict with UK law on age or prohibited degrees. A civil marriage conducted by a Cyprus municipality meets that test. You do not need to do anything further once you are home.
- Do I need to register my Cyprus marriage certificate in the UK?
- No — and you cannot, even if you want to. There is no requirement and no facility to register or deposit a foreign marriage certificate in the UK. The General Register Office deposit service closed on 1 January 2014, and depositing a certificate never conferred recognition anyway. Several planners still tell couples to do this; it is out of date. Keep your Cyprus certificate safe, and order an extra certified copy while you are on the island.
- Do you arrange weddings in Northern Cyprus?
- No. We arrange weddings only in the Republic of Cyprus. A ceremony performed in the north sits in a different and less settled legal position, and we would not want any couple to discover that after the event. Everything we offer is in the Republic.
- What does a wedding in Cyprus actually cost?
- Our Cyprus packages run from £9,500 to £10,900 depending on the venue and guest numbers, with everything set out before you commit. That covers the venue, the ceremony and the core of the day — flights, accommodation and the municipality fees sit outside it. Our cost page breaks down exactly what is and is not included.
- How many guests can your Cyprus venues take?
- From intimate groups up to 550. We have 5 Cyprus venues on the books. They span beach, historic venue and private estate settings. We will tell you honestly which ones suit your numbers rather than pushing you toward the biggest.
- When is the best time of year to marry in Cyprus?
- May, June, September and early October are the sweet spot — warm and long-evening light without the peak-summer heat, and generally easier on cost than July and August. We plan weddings across the year and will be straight with you about what a given month is really like.
