Cyprus is where our planning team is based on the island, and it is the destination we are asked about most by couples who want the paperwork kept as simple as it can be. You deal with our UK-based team from the first enquiry to the final details, and a coordinator in Cyprus deals with the venue, the municipality and the suppliers in person.
Because the ceremony arrangements, the suppliers and the day itself are handled by people who work in Cyprus every week, the questions that usually trip up a wedding abroad (who books the registrar, who speaks to the caterer, who is on site at 7am) have a named answer.
Our home and our heart. More than 320 days of sunshine, effortless legal ceremonies for overseas couples, and the warmest welcome in the Mediterranean — Cyprus delivers a truly premium wedding for remarkable value.

Good to know about a wedding in Cyprus
Getting there
Direct flights run from many UK airports to Paphos and Larnaca, in the region of four and a half hours. Larnaca and Paphos are on opposite sides of the island, so we plan transfers around your guests’ arrival airport.
Language and money
English is widely spoken and the island uses the euro, which makes guest logistics noticeably easier than in some other destinations.
The ceremony
Legal ceremonies for overseas couples are well established here. We cover exactly what is asked for, and when, on our Cyprus legal requirements page.
Where on the island
Distances on the island are bigger than they look on a map, so choosing the right end for your guests matters. The packages below show where each venue is.
Planning a wedding in Cyprus: your questions
- How much does a wedding in Cyprus cost?
- Our Cyprus packages run from £8,199 to £11,199, depending on the venue, the guest numbers and what is included. Each package page lists exactly what is in the price. Flights, accommodation and local authority fees sit outside; our cost page explains each.
- Can you plan my wedding in Cyprus from the UK?
- Yes. You plan with our UK-based team by phone, email and video call, and a coordinator in Cyprus deals with the venue, the ceremony arrangements and the suppliers in person and is there on the day. Many couples never need to visit before the wedding.
- How many guests can we bring to a wedding in Cyprus?
- Our Cyprus packages suit 20 to 550 guests, depending on the venue. Each package page shows its own limits, and our guest numbers page shows what fits each party size across all our destinations.
- Do we have to live in Cyprus to get married there?
- No. Couples from the UK marry in Cyprus every year. Whether a ceremony is legally binding depends on the type of ceremony and the local rules, and we confirm exactly what applies to you, and which documents are needed by when, before you commit to a date. Our legal requirements page explains the difference between a legal and a symbolic ceremony.
- When should we book a wedding in Cyprus?
- The wedding season is long: couples marry from spring into autumn, and the busiest weekends book twelve to eighteen months ahead. If your date is fixed, start with the date; if it is flexible, shoulder months give you more choice of venue.
- Is the digital invitation and RSVP website included?
- Yes. Every Weddings in the Sun package includes your own private wedding website, where your guests reply, choose their meals, tell you about children and plus-ones, and share photos.
Every package includes your own digital invitation & RSVP website for your guests: replies, meal choices and a shared photo pinboard. See how it works
